Registration update

It looks like this endless winter may actually end! And that means spring and our Symposium on May 30-31. Here’s a snapshot of our registration at this point:

  • Conductors: 2 spots remain open, 10 are claimed. Hurry if you intend to register for one of the remaining Conductor registrations!
  • Auditors: Plenty of spots are available, and we have no limits on the number of registration (except floor space in our workshop and lab spaces).
  • Performers: We have a wide array of instruments registered at this point, but we definitely need these instruments for both the Saturday and Sunday afternoon wind ensemble sessions:
    • Flutes
    • Oboes
    • Trumpets
    • Horns
    • Trombones
    • Tubas
    • Percussion

If you’ve played in previous years, please consider returning. If this is new to you, please join us! Click here to register.

2015 Registration is Open!

I just barely finished updating the registration information this evening — and before I could write this post, someone had already registered!

So we are ready to roll for 2015. Click here to register. Remember that there are only 12 Conductor positions available, and they are available only on a first-come, first-served basis. Click here to check out this year’s repertoire. Or send me an email to say hello and update me on how things are going!

I’m looking forward to seeing you at our 24th Symposium! Until then stay warm, and best of luck with your spring performances!

Save the dates for WCS 2015

We will be running our Wind Conducting Symposium again this coming year with Mallory Thompson and Louis Alloro on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, at Northern Valley-Old Tappan High School. Please save the dates.

Registration for conductors, auditors, and performers will go live on Friday, January 9, here at wcs.ebernet.biz. The repertoire for both the chamber ensemble and wind ensemble will be published at that time.

Until then, best of luck with your holiday performances. I hope to see some of you at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago.

Registration begins Monday!

Registration for the 2014 Wind Conducting Symposium begins tomorrow, Monday, January 6, 2014. We are excited about this year’s group of Conductors, Auditors, and Performers.

Please use the Registration tab on the home page (wcs.ebernet.biz) to register. The site has all the pertinent information about registration, repertoire, schedule, and more.

I’m looking forward to seeing many of you again this spring!

Plenty of room for Auditors!

All 12 Conductor’s registrations have been claimed and are paid in full. We still have plenty of room for Auditors!

  • Auditors who are MEBCI members pay only $150.00! MEBCI runs this event annually, but so few MEBCI members actually attend — this event is for you!
  • Auditors from outside Bergen County who are not MEBCI members pay $350.00.
  • NEW THIS YEAR – Undergraduate Auditors pay only $100.00!

Auditors have access to the same resources and time with Dr. Thompson as the Conductors. This includes the demonstration/lectures on Saturday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and the end-of-day debriefings following the wind ensemble labs.

Consider registration as an Auditor — go to our Registration Page to register.
